Day 1
I got commissioned to do this painting for Valentines Day a couple days ago. I got really excited because I have never tried to paint denim before but thought it would be fun to learn. I started with the under color of the skin and clothes. I spent a while working on the shaping and ripples in the shirt. I think it turned out really well and love the shadow on the man's arm. Then I started on the denim and loved the color that it was. It looked very much like jeans to me.
Day 2
I worked on the hair, skin, background, and dress today. The dress was very time consuming but turned out so much better than I was expecting. I love all of the ripples and the depth of color in all of the shadowed places. I loved the dark green hue and how it looks with the man's clothes. I spent a long time on the hair and skin of the woman and it was a challenge because her face was at a different angle. I think I would have done a different style for her hair but I think that it still turned out good.
