WEEK 6 - YORKIE DIGITAL

Day 1

After completing my other digital dog drawing, I got commissioned to do another dog drawing of a yorkie. For this project I wanted to make a very detailed drawing that really showed all of the different colors of the fur and jacket that the dog was wearing in the photo that I used as a reference. I started out with an black outline which I then began to fill in with different colors. I started with the jacket and focused on finding the depth of all of the different colors and strived to capture the wrinkles. Finding all of the different shades of pink took me a while to figure out but looked really good when I started figuring it out.

Day 2

Today I spent hours one the fur. I started in the face and made my way down to the body. There were so many different shades and hues throughout the whole piece that was very difficult but fun to do. The hardest part to draw on the whole picture was definitely the face. The hairs are going in so many different directions and had so many different suttle color changes that it was hard to figure out how to capture that for a while. However, now that I am looking at the final picture I think that it turned out very nicely.
